Tower Foreman

Hourly Rate: $25-$35 Per Hour

As a Tower Foreman you will be expected to lead your crew in the construction, installation, and maintenance of communication towers and support structures. Along with performing the hands-on field work, the Tower Foreman is expected to manage his crew members, provide feedback to managers, help mentor newer technicians, and continue to help grow True North Management Services. The following job description is what will be expected from a True North Tower Foreman:
- Manage the safety and performance of a crew of 2-4 Tower Technicians
- Mentor less experienced Tower Technicians
- Analyze situations accurately and complete assigned courses of action
- Maintain a professional working attitude with all team members and customers
- Maintain True North equipment and tools
- Maintain equipment of the clients the work is being performed for
- Be organized and maintain good communication with CM’s and PM’s
- Effectively perform progressive discipline
As a Tower Foreman for True North Management Services, the qualifications you must possess are:
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and ability to pass a DOT exam
- Able to climb tall structures with a 50lb. load
- Working weight (employee weight + harness and tools) may not exceed 310lbs.
- 3 to 5 years of climbing and tower work experience
- Ability to take a hands on approach in leading the crew
- Pass pre-employment and random drug screens
- Have the ability to use basic computer programs(E-mail, Excel, Word)
- Competent with test gear (Anritsu, ODM, and PIM)
- Ability to operate capstan hoist and good understanding of rigging practices as it relates to the tower industry
- Competent in all aspects of line and antenna system installation, replacement and maintenance
- Ability to read site plans and understand the Scope of Work
- Must possess closet out package knowledge for various carriers
- Must have High School Diploma or equivalent
- OSHA certifications, First Aid/CPR, Anristu, and Tower Rescue training is a plus, but not required

Tower Top Hand
$3,000 Sign on Bonus

Hourly Rate: $20-$25 Per Hour
St. Louis, MO or Kansas City, KS
As a Tower Top Hand, your responsibilities will include:
- Must be knowledgeable in installation and troubleshooting of all types of lines, antennas, and corresponding RF components
- Must be familiar with sweep, PIM and fiber testing
- Must be familiar with RF troubleshooting, RET system configuration and close out documentation
- Climbing and working on communications towers for the purpose of installing, replacing, and repairing antenna systems equipment; performs tower maintenance under close supervision
- The basic use and care of hand tools and mechanical equipment.
- Knowing the hazards associated with tower climbing, construction equipment, and working on or near energized lines and equipment.
- Following instructions accurately and complete assigned course of action.
- Recognizing safety hazards and perform duties in a safe manner.
- Ability to travel Monday through Friday, home on the weekends
- Ability to train and help new hires through their Apprenticeship Program
Experience Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of wireless construction experience.
- Job related certifications -First Aid, Safety, OSHA, CPR, PIM & Fiber testing.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and comply with company motor vehicle policy.
- Will be required to pass a drug screen and background check.
- Able to climb tall structures with a 50 lb. load on a daily basis.
- Ability to read and understand construction drawings.
- Able to delegate tasks to crew members.
